Editor, Little, Brown and Company
Trish recently embarked on a new adventure at Little, Brown as part of the founding editorial team for James Patterson’s BookShots line, helping to launch a new initiative with one of the most read and innovative authors publishing today. She is currently specializing in mysteries and thrillers, seeking cinematic stories that break convention, featuring compelling characters and high-stakes suspense, especially from female voices.
Prior to joining Hachette Book Group as an Editor in 2016, Trish Daly spent her publishing career at HarperCollins with over five years at the William Morrow imprint, where she edited and contributed to a wide variety of titles and authors, from mystery/thrillers to memoir to narrative nonfiction, journalism, and cultural history. Across genres, she’s most interested in authors telling unique stories that contribute to a cultural conversation.
Trish has edited crime novelist Lou Berney, author of the Edgar Award-winning The Long and Faraway Gone; professional runner Becky Wade’s Run the World: My 3,500-Mile Journey Through Running Cultures Around the Globe; and acquired the New York Times bestseller Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly, about the sisterhood of African-American women who worked as mathematicians at NASA during the space race (now a major motion picture, in theaters January 2017).
