Marcus Woodburn

Vice President, Digital Products at Ingram Content Group

Marcus is responsible for Ingram’s digital solutions including the CoreSource digital products that serve publishers and retailers to ensure that e-books are available to as wide a market as possible. CoreSource is now the largest digital distribution system in the industry. He also manages one of Ingram’s newest acquisitions,, which provides the ability for anyone with a web presence to sell books.

After spending 12 years working as an archaeologist and photographer in the Middle East and South America Marcus began his career in the information world by microfilming historical documents for UMI/ProQuest.  He went on to hold several positions at ProQuest, including Product Manager for K-12 and Director of Publisher Relations.

After ten years with ProQuest he moved to Ingram Digital in 2007 as Vice President of Publisher Relations, and in 2010 took on the role heading up digital content development for Ingram Content Group.

Marcus brings a broad knowledge of digital publishing, sales and distribution for journals, newspapers and e-books.  His experience working with customers that employ a variety of strategies in reaching the fast-evolving digital market provides him with a broad perspective of the industry.  His understanding of the technologies used and the competitive landscape further enhance that digital world-view.
He holds a degree in history and archaeology
